Sparkle Labs: Making Science Cute and Fun

Sparkle Labs Science ToysSparkle Labs has some neat non-game related, geeky goods that are worth mentioning with the holidays forthcoming – geared towards kids ages 12+ and adults. Sparkle Labs was founded by Ariel Churi and Amy Parness, who met while studying at New York University’s Interactive Telecommunications Program.

One of its products in particular – The Discover Electronics Kit – is a smart and easy to understand and educational gift that teaches children and adults about electronics and electricity. The Discover Electronics Kit offers the standard components that electronics engineers use like switches, buttons, diodes, capacitors, transistors, regulators and a breadboard – containing over 130 parts. By providing real electronics and easy to understand graphical instructions it makes it easy to learn the basics of electricity and gives users the parts and knowledge to create their own projects.

There are other neat little toys and fun stuff at Sparkle Labs, which I encourage you to find for yourselves at www.sparklelabs.com.
