Blizzard: No Diablo III in 2010
In an interview with Techland, Blizzard Entertainment’s Rob Pardo, a definitive ship date for Diablo III is hard to nail down. Though some had had the game pegged for an early 2010, Pardo says that that is not very likey. In fact he says quite bluntly that “Diablo III is not going to be out next year.” Pardo also notes that it is not because Diablo III is lacking in resources – each game has its own development team; it is because they develop their games iteratively. In other words, StarCraft 2 is the game to put your money on coming out first.
So to summarize – no Diablo III in 2010. Sad? Very much so, but at least we now know not to obsess over its release for a long, long while.
