Namco Bandai Games America Has released Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny to North American retail stores for the PSP (read Evan Narcisse’s review for our take on the game). Developed by Project Soul, Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny is the first handheld iteration in the series that promises to deliver weapon-based fighting in addition to new gameplay modes, a more robust character customization feature, and a roster of familar warriors from the series. Players can battle as one of the many returning favorites or use the character creator to make their own personalized warrior. Also new combatants have entered the ring as well including special guest character Kratos, from Sony Computer Entertainment America’s God of War.

The game also offers an all new single player Trials mode, Critical Finishes, Soul Crushes, Equipment Destruction, over 80 exercise missions, Training mode and ocal wireless battles using the PSP system’s ad hoc networking.
