Zoo Publishing Scores Empire Assets Rights

Zoo Publishing has inked a deal with New World IP to license, publish, and distribute the catalog of video game software previously published and developed by Empire Interactive Europe Limited (Empire). The agreement allows Zoo Publishing the ability to re-release previous Empire titles, to port previously released games to new platforms, and to create new gaming content from existing Empire intellectual property. Empire recently went into receivership after some serious financial troubles.

Earlier this week, KPMG Restructuring was appointed as Administrators of Empire. The London-based publisher, ceased trading after the appointment, and several staff members have been retained to assist KPMG with the wind down of the business. Empire’s intellectual property rights have been sold to New World IP, LLC, which is based in the US. New World IP, LLC has licensed the intellectual property rights, on an exclusive basis, to Zoo Publishing.

Moblyng Games Gets Social

Moblyng Games has released two games on Facebook, iPhone and Android today: Dungeon Quest and Poker Dice. Both games are simple by design and are meant to foster and inspire social style gameplay, by allowing players to invite their friends to play across multiple platforms.

Dungeon Quest is a super simple fantasy role-playing game that allows players to quest and battle thousands of other players as they level up their character. They can invite contacts from across platforms to join the game, and compete or collaborate to achieve in-game wealth and notoriety. While Dungeon Quest can be played for free, players have the option to purchase gems that can be used to buy in-game premium items to enhance the game play.

Poker Dice is a casual poker game using five dice. With the roll of five dice, players follow the same principles of one of the most popular dice games in the world. With the benefit of a simple interface, players can also compare their scores to their friends on Facebook, iPhone and Android, or invite new friends to join in.
