New LittleBigPlanet Costumes Coming This Week

Can’t get enough of Sackboy’s adventures in LittleBigPlanet? Well, on Thursday, the PlayStation Store will fill fans’ virtual closets with a collection of new items for Sony’s most fashionable mascot.
This week’s new LBP content includes a virtual zoo of animal themed costumes, including a frog (Lily Pad), an ape (Hugo), a penguin (Frost-E), and my personal favorite, a shark (Great Blue). The animal costumes will be available for $.99 each, or in a four pack for $2.99.
If you’re not one to give in to your animalistic urges, also available this week will be two other LBP Sackboy outfits. The first up, for the easy on the wallet price of free, will be the winner of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe’s design a costume contest, the Little Shop Of Horrors-esque “Sack-Eating Plant”. The currently unnamed North American and Japanese winners will also be made available at a later date.
The last piece of LBP DLC due out this week, straight from the PS3’s popular off-road racing title, is the MotorStormer costume. Wearing a dirt bike suit and matching helmet, this little tidbit is apparently the first of LBP’s “Premium” downloads, coming with a $1.99 price tag … more than twice the price of any of the other downloadable costumes.
