Fallout 3 Development Complete
Bethesda’s Fallout 3 is now gold and will be in stores for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Games For Windows platforms on Oct. 28 in North America, Europe & Australia on Oct. 30 and the United Kingdom on Oct. 31. Will old school, die-hard Fallout fans embrace Bethesda’s foray in the post apocalyptic universe created by Interplay many moons ago or will they go completely and utterly insane? We do not know the answer to that question and we don’t how fans of Bethesda’s previous games (Elder Scrolls series) will take to this game that has been called by many as “Oblivion With Guns.”
“Fallout 3 has been the biggest project we’ve ever undertaken,” said Todd Howard, game director for Fallout 3. “It’s been a long journey and we’re really happy with how it turned out. We can’t wait for everyone to get a chance to play it.”
Fallout 3 is set more than 200 years following a nuclear war. In this burned out husk of a world you make your way out of the safety of an underground vault into the harrowing world affected by lawlessness, inhumanity and years of genetic mutation at the hands of radioactive fallout. Players can create any kind of character they want and explore the open wastes of Washington, D.C however they choose.
