New Xbox Experience: In Pictures

The official GamerScore Blog has a nice rundown of what the NXE (or New Xbox Experience, if you prefer), detailing what gamers can expect this fall. the focus of today’s update is on presentation and style. Get a rundown of it after the jump, complete with visuals to drive the point home.

As you can see in screenshot 1 this is how the current game store on Xbox Live Marketplace looks. It offers basic information like ESRB rating, price and a short explanation of what it is. Screenshot 2 shows you what the NXE plans to bring to the table.

When the XNE launches this fall it will offer a whole new look and many more options to help you make your purchasing decisions. New options like the ability to look at trailers and screenshots, and read the “back of the box” description like you would in a traditional retail shop.

Here are a couple more screenshots to give you an idea of what Microsoft has planned. There’s still not a lot of hard data on how navigation, sorting etc. will work but hopefully more details will be revealed as NXE inches towards its fall release..
