Vitals: Living, breathing, still allergic to my cat
Education: Graduated at the somewhat absurd age of 19 from Ursinus College with a B.A. in English, minor in Education.
Publications: Reviewer and later executive editor of Gamehelper.com, news writer for 1up.com, and currently half of Wired News' game blog, Game|Life. Still not sure if I'm the 'game' or the 'life' half, though.
Platforms played: Everything but PC. It's embarrassing but true. Having grown up as a Mac girl (a career in publishing will do that to you), I never got used to gaming on a computer. Mouse/keyboard movement is simply more than my fingers can handle.
Genres played: RPG, survival horror, adventure, platformer, FPS, shooter (shmups, I'm talkin'), you name it, I'll likely play it. Except for sports games. No Madden for me, thank you very much.
Multiplayer or single-player: Single-player and co-op. I've dabbled in multiplayer, but it's really not my forte. If I want to be yelled at by belligerent misogynists I'll just ride the subway.
My favorite Top 10 games ever played (in no particular order):
1)
BioShock
2)
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
3)
Resident Evil 2
4)
Silent Hill 2
5)
Phantasy Star Online
6)
ToeJam & Earl
7)
Jet Grind Radio
8)
Super Mario RPG
9)
Yoshi's Island
10)
TimeSplitters 2
What makes me tick: Science fiction, horror movies, puzzles, soft pretzels (Philly born and bred), and Christopher Moore books.
