Vitals: Scruffy little beard, 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse, slight fear of circus clowns.

Education: Communications Degree from Syracuse University with a minor in Philosophy, Second-Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Publications: I'm a contributing editor for Men's Journal magazine and have had stuff I've written show up in places like GQ and Best Life magazines, CBS' Late Late Show, and on an award-winning comedy series for WGBH-Radio in Boston. As a gaming journalist, I've gone from the groundbreaking Huge Electronic Brain on AOL to the legendary Happy Puppy and GameSpy Web sites and beyond.

Platforms played: All consoles and handhelds. My PC is a World of Warcraft-only device.

Favorite genres: The quirkier the better. If I can play as a mosquito (who also happens to be a lawyer) that's trying to impress female mosquitoes by cooking elaborate French food, I'm going to be really, really happy.

My current favorite Top 10 games ever:

1. World of Warcraft
2. Robot Alchemic Drive
3. Final Fantasy X
4. DOOM II
5. Fatal Frame II
6. Silent Hill (Just about all of them wig me out.)
7. Konami's Baseball Spirits 4 (Japanese import -- the best available baseball sim for the PS3.)
8. Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution
9. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2
10. NBA 2K8 (I'm currently really digging it.)

What's in my fridge: Diet Mountain Dew, Sam Adams, low-fat cottage cheese, udon noodles.

Steve Steinberg hasn't rated any games yet. Have you? Find some.

The Games That Time Forgot

The games we're pulling together in this feature won't appear on any of those best-of lists and get confused looks when you mention them in conversation. Just because time has forgotten these titles, though, doesn't mean you should forget them, too.
