Name: Erin Bell

Vitals: 28, married

Education: A major in Music and minor in Classical Civilizations from the University of Toronto, both of which provided a firm bedrock for a career in game journalism.

Publications: Freelanced for the Globe & Mail, CBC.ca, the Toronto Star, PC World Canada, Common Sense Media and Ziff Davis' Pocket Games magazine among others. Currently the editor of Gamezebo.com, the leading editorial Web site devoted to the casual games industry.

Platforms played: Pretty much everything, although my preferences these days lean towards PC, Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS.

Favorite genres: North American RPGs, action/adventure, survival horror, music games, first- and third-person shooters, sim/tycoon.

Multiplayer or single-player: Single-player. With the exception of XLA card games, Rock Band and the occasional game of Twisted, I tend to avoid multiplayer.

My Top 10 games:

1. Starflight (1 and 2)
2. The Elder Scrolls series
3. Civilization
4. Super Mario Bros. 3
5. Rock Band
6. Silent Hill 2
7. Lumines
8. Frequency
9. Resident Evil 4
10. Miss Management

What makes me tick: Good music, sour things, rabbits, kitschy toys, quirky art, bubble tea, husband's cooking (especially the tacos).

The Games That Time Forgot

The games we're pulling together in this feature won't appear on any of those best-of lists and get confused looks when you mention them in conversation. Just because time has forgotten these titles, though, doesn't mean you should forget them, too.
