Name: Alex Navarro

Vitals: Age: 26; Height: 6'0”; Weight: 180 lbs; Hair: Brown; Eyes: Blue; Blood Type: Unknown

Education: Five years of modern dance, six years of tap.

Publications: Reviews Editor at GameSpot from March 2003 until January 2008. Wrote freelance for CNET GameCenter and a number of smaller sites you've probably never heard of.

Platforms played: Just about everything. Own every current console, nearly all the old consoles. I never owned a Saturn. I hear I wasn't missing much.

Genres played: Rhythm games, action-adventures, shooters, platformers, driving games, classic adventure games (few of them as there are these days), and many a sports game.

Multiplayer or single-player: Depends on the game. Some I play online exclusively, some alone exclusively. Just depends on what kind of jerks are on the other end of the online experience (Gears of War online players, I'm looking at you).

My Top 10 Games:

Jeez, this is like asking me to choose my favorite children. Quick and dirty:

1. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
2. Just about anything from the Mario franchise, with the primary highlights being Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, and Super Mario Galaxy.
3. Grand Theft Auto III
4. Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting
5. Virtual Pro Wrestling 2: Oudou Keishou
6. Rock Band
7. Guitar Hero and/or Guitar Hero II
8. The NFL 2K series
9. SimCity (the original PC version and the SNES port)
10. World of Warcraft

OK, that list is kind of all over the place and probably not completely accurate (I'm forgetting half my NES collection), but whatever. That's a pretty good cross-section of what I'm into.

What makes me tick: Music, movies, TiVo, poor sleeping habits, copious amounts of caffeine, my loving girlfriend (cut this if she ever dumps me), my cats and, of course, the occasional videogame.

Alex Navarro hasn't rated any games yet. Have you? Find some.

The Games That Time Forgot

The Games That Time Forgot

The games we're pulling together in this feature won't appear on any of those best-of lists and get confused looks when you mention them in conversation. Just because time has forgotten these titles, though, doesn't mean you should forget them, too.
