Link's Crossbow Training (Wii)

The Zelda shooter delivers as a complimentary demo included with the Zapper.

What's Hot: Wii Zapper adds aiming stability; Convincing as a weapon; A great value; More than just a gimmick

What's Not: Single-player is very brief (though the price tag isn't steep); Movement with thumbstick feels awkward at first

How bright is the Zapper's future? I'd say sunny with a slight chance of rain -- clearer when considering the upcoming Wii Ware service for the line's smaller games. In the end, Zapper games will be dependent on great software, and Link's Crossbow Training works to that end. It may be brief, but the fun -- not to mention the thick plastic accessory -- is easily worth the asking price.

The Games That Time Forgot

The games we're pulling together in this feature won't appear on any of those best-of lists and get confused looks when you mention them in conversation. Just because time has forgotten these titles, though, doesn't mean you should forget them, too.
