The Red Faction series has always qualified as one of those mediocre first-person shooters with a gimmick. Said gimmick in this case was the ability to blow holes clear through walls. Guerrilla shifts the game into a third-person perspective, features the same GeoMod hole-blowing that made the series infamous, and to top it off, features an all new gimmick: The shooting action takes place in a wide-open world.
