The ConduitThe Conduit aims to create a channel for hardcore shooters on the Wii. Evan Narcisse sizes it up.

This isn't the best FPS on the Wii. Metroid Prime 3 holds that distinction, and it refuses to part with that distinction until further notice.
I loved lobbing grenades with the nunchuck. But holding the Wii remote pointed at the TV screen in hour-long chunks feels unnatural to me, and it led to severe hand cramping and possibly even some pains in my ass.
The game takes a tried/true, far superior control scheme--mouse/keyboard or dual analog sticks--and Wii-ifies for no good reason other than to Wii-ify it.
This isn't an evolution for the genre; it's a de-evolution. It's a novelty. It's a curiosity that's been made with a bit of conviction. That's all The Conduit is.

@ScottJones:
Scott, do you have to put our dirty laundry where everybody can see it?!
The problem I had with MP3 was that I felt it overdid the scanning and was less of a pure shooter, focusing more on adventure-style elements.
I got no cramps playing Conduit, either. Even if we disagree about the virtues of MP3 vs. Conduit, I think the customization and online options are significant improvements on other Wii titles that are out there.
