Scott, does it make a difference in older Wii games like Zelda Twilight Princess or Wii Sports?

the game has to be optimized for MotionPlus for it to work, john. that's what i'm told, anyway. if it's compatible, it will say so on the game package.

Scott Jones, mysterious gaming blogger Sean Malstrom accuses you of anti-nintendo bias (http://seanmalstrom.wordpress.com/2009/06/24/the-honorable-game-journalist-so-are-they-all-all-honorable-game-journalists/). How do you plead?

I've been accused of Scott Jones Bias on several occasions; but Nintendo bias? Never.

I recently had an opportunity to try out Grand Slam Tennis and I was massively disappointed, especially after having pretty great experiences with Wii Sports Resort. Controlling my player's swing was almost impossible and he seemed to change from forehand to backhand with little to no regard for how I was actually holding the Wiimote. Attempts to calibrate the WMP met with abject failure and after 20 minutes in the practice mode I still wasn't able to manipulate virtual McEnroe to reliably return the ball. At that point I ejected the disc and sent it back to Gamefly.

@MSUSteve:

Man, you described my experiences exactly. For $20, I feel like this damn thing should do far more than it does.

The Games That Time Forgot

The games we're pulling together in this feature won't appear on any of those best-of lists and get confused looks when you mention them in conversation. Just because time has forgotten these titles, though, doesn't mean you should forget them, too.
