Murder and metal, and a turtle in a wheelchair. See what's on our latest playlist.

I hope to finish level 1-1 of Demon's Souls! Or not.

I'll definitely be playing Borderlands and Uncharted 2. If I can muster up the interest to try again I'll play some Brutal Legend, but I'm having a hard time getting into it.

I didn't think Activision did early copies of anything. Making an exception for DJ Hero?

Beneath a Steel Sky! Never did finish that...and a little hunting carries me to ScummVM. Which means what little spare time I had is about to evaporate...

I'm going to blow the dust off my PSP and play GTA: Chinatown Wars. I'm also going to continue with the DLC for Fallout 3 and maybe pick up Uncharted 2.

Brutal Legend is brilliant. Unfortunately, I can't play it since my ol' 360 did the red ring dance of death last night. So sad...

So now I'm "stuck" with Uncharted 2 and the new Ratchet.

I realized tonight that I'm not so much playing shadow complex as forcing myself to continue moving through it. I did download the Brutal Legend demo, and it was kind of amusing, but I'm not really any more interested in buying the full game than I was in the above conversation.

I think I may have reached a point where I just want to play the occasional BioShock, or Half-Life 2, or Fallout 3, and not really pay much attention to games beyond that.

@CaptainHomeless:

With you CWB; Shadow Complex is totally a get-it-done experience.

With you MSUSteve; Brutal is tough to stick with.

Also; BORDERLANDS STINKS FYI.

Hugs.

I cry a little when people don't fall in love with Brutal Legend. I wonder if some folks would get a better feel for the RTS portions is they'd take a break from the story and just play a couple stage battles against the AI in multi.

Hugely busy weekend, not sure I can fit it all in. In addition to all my gaming, my girlfriend and I are watching the Director's Cut of Das Boot, which cruises past the three hour mark.

Gaming-wise: another Silent Hunter III mission, plus a mission in World in Conflict: Soviet Assault. Then I want to try out Killing Floor on its free weekend. I also want to see if I can get Shogun: Total War going on my Vista machine. Then I need to revisit Far Cry 2 so I'll have something to talk about when Clint Hocking hits town next week.

I guess this is a pretty good problem to have, though. The only question is how awesome this weekend can get.

I'm dogging Gus all weekend. Tonight, he will be fat John Lennon and I will be bald Paul McCartney ... and by that I mean DockCon will be playing Beatles RB. Sickos.

Panzer General has been scratching every nerd itch I have. A little slow but turn based tactical gameplay with two randomizing elements and resource management ... man, doesn't that just sound glorious?

@CaptainHomeless:

We need to pick an NBA game. That's something you'll play the hell out of.

On the Demon's Souls front I got a little bit farther than ever before and picked up the cling ring and the ring of Herculean strength (yes, that's how little I've progressed that I'm just now getting them) and they should help me a decent amount.

@Elise Vogel - Oasis is an amazing place in Fallout 3, especially considering it is the only place with VEGETATION. And it is hilarious hearing Three Dog talk about it.

I'm hoping to finish Prototype this weekend. The story isn't very good, but the gameplay can be very addictive.

@KingArmery:

There's another place isn't there? Underground...

@DoctorJest:

I'm playing the iPhone version of B.A.S.S. So good. And it's a total lightweight for the battery.

@CaptainHomeless:

I'm starting to feel that way too ... I played some Z.O.E. 2nd Runner and Ratchet & Clank this afternoon and couldn't work up enough enthusiasm for the amount of time spent. If I'm going to sink 15-20 hrs a week the game had better be amazing.

No games for me this weekend - tried to see if I could get Total War on the Macbook Pro via VMware but the text was all garbled.

So no dice there and other than that was just home for the weekend so got to see Sweeney Todd at the Cohoes Music Hall which was great (if you're in the capital region and have a chance, go see a show - they're normally great to exceptional and the hall itself is beautiful)

OMG, I saw a dragon with lots of dead people near it! And I got some plate gauntlets! I decided to not mess with the dragon so tried to cross a bridge with lots of little baddies on it, but then the dragon came attacking and I ran but it pulled a bunch of the little guys and they swarmed and killed me.

Still on 1-1.

It was very cool. I spent my Sunday surrounded by greenery, swimming in radiation.

@RyanKuo:

Well, I guess Little Lamplight has some fungi.

@CG-Gabe:

I believe in you! Fight that dragon and beat it!

@PoliceV:

Sounds exactly like what I did.

The Games That Time Forgot

The games we're pulling together in this feature won't appear on any of those best-of lists and get confused looks when you mention them in conversation. Just because time has forgotten these titles, though, doesn't mean you should forget them, too.
