I find it amusing how the usage of the term "Nerf" has changed in gaming. Originally, it was used to describe what would happen to a favored weapon. Example: "I had a "Sword of Uber Awesomeness", and the devs went and made it a "Nerf" sword."When this made the change to classes/skills being "Nerfed", somehow, the usage of the word made the change to "being hit with the 'Nerf bat'".

When my classes get nerfed, I picture them getting that nerfy skin texture and color.My priest now makes that hollow "kick-ball" echoey sound when struck. BOING!

It's a good thing we don't have Nerf bats lying around the Crispy offices. Just Nerf guns.
