The sad part is, if they did have little lights on them I reckon people would be much happier. ...I know I would. >.>

Is it worth mentioning that they never said "non-Microsoft?" They said "non-LICENSED." There is a big difference and the concept is fairly standard in almost any business sector - Microsoft is simply in a direct position to enforce it technologically.

Thing is apple tend to hit the right buttons.. whereas microsoft are like well we did the first xbox with a HD (breaking new ground), you know what lets make the second, a HD and a non HD... 3 years later, lets just make it a HD standard.

    bunch of morons.

Then there's paying for content that's free on the PC. Then paying for Xbox live, sure it was cutting edge back when mechassault and rainbow six was being played but now... pfft cheaper buying a PS3 in the long run at least you get a blu ray player.

lets not mention how many snu's they've went through, you know my original xbox thompson drive and all still works, still gets played by my neice. Whereas... altogether now... the ring of fireee... the ring of fiiiirre

People are probably very upset because they already have non Microsoft xbox 360 memory cards that will all of a sudden become more useless than a paperweight AND have data on them. Apple didn't one day make things that were compatible not so one day, they just were always that way.

I think a big part of it is the mindset of the diffrent users. Apple has ALWAYS been a hardware Nazi, it's why Microsoft and IBM beat them out in market share in the late 80s. Apple held so tight to hardware they never let third parties build for them while all the rest where known as IBMs or IBM-clones. You just had more options with the MS and IBM stuff and so it got more business than the rigid apples.

People are use to the Status Quo. This is how things are and they like how things are and change is generally frowned upon violently.

Mind, this is with the Xbox, which is a console, not a computer. Even though it is Microsoft you really should expect this. It's been a long tradition of all game consoles to have only thier products work with thier system.

It is strange that apple can get away with more then Microsoft ever can... I think it is the fact that people can smell the douche-baggery with MS does things. Also if they are making another Alan Moore film it better be Top 10!
