    Hi, I'm a Mac. Hi, I'm a PC. Wait, Doesn't PC stand for Personal Computer? That means that Mac is a PC to! Oh the identity crisis....

    Heh...I'm in an IT environment where I have to support both. They both have their strengths and weaknesses, and honestly while I own PCs at home (because I'm a gamer), both have their niches. However, those Mac commercials are an affront to reality and are damn near unbearable to watch because of how dishonest they are.

    @mixedinternal - LIES! I am not productive no matter where I am.

    But yeah, that was my major issues. If you want to talk about the differences between Macs and PCs then you should do that, and talking about the click of people you associate with either is not doing that. this would be like someone asking you the differences between a lion and a crocodile and you just go into great detail about how yellow is such a gay color. I mean it is, but who really cares.

    Bioshock is coming to the Mac?

    @mixedinternal

    You mock them for using cliches, but you are using them yourself. Macs are more hands off and very good at what they do. Everything, like all Apple products, is highly polished and works how you want it to.

    However, Windows, while perhaps has a few issues, can do far more and is far more flexible. And then there is Linux which is the extreme, you can do anything, if you are clever enough... Which is why I use Windows, because I need some power, but I am not clever enough to use Linux regularly :P

    However, it is not really relevant, only depends on what you want to use it for. Besides, the screen size is independant of OS, friend as Mac that is smaller than my Windows laptop...

    @mixedinternal:

    Rush Limbaugh uses a Mac. I think he's a Republican. Does that count?

    @Candrian:

    bioshock is being released on mac in a couple weeks (now that its several years old) so mac users can enjoy it - that's probably what the strip is referencing

    Sounds to me like Macs are out of mmclennan's price range, so he lives vicariously through his wealthier Mac-using pseudofriends who also hang out and be unproductive with the image of being pretentiously productive at Starbucks.

    Good job on making the switch, Mercer. More people need to be like you.

    Lastonkal, name a republican that uses a Mac. Any one will do. Plenty of democrats and liberals use PCs, yes, but really, find a republican on a Mac, and you will find yourself a liar.

    Final note, fuck Justin Long.

    I've always remembered what my uncle who's worked in IT for decades said when I was first looking for a computer and was trying to decide between a PC and a MAC. He likened owning a Mac to owning a Jaguar. They're nice and shiny and fast and have all the nifty bells and whistles and all your friends will "ooh" and "aah," but you're going to pay through the nose when something inevitably breaks.

    I think the joke is that Bioshock 2 won't be coming to Mac until 2012, whereas PC users should be able to enjoy it in 2010. That's just a guess from the context. I haven't seen any stories about it.

    I don't really get the joke here, but read the link.

    Mixed,
    Everyone has something to complain about. Also loved how you equate computer choice to political view. MAC users = democrat/liberal, so that means PC = republican/conservative.

    Hate it when people generalize , the world isn't that simple.

    Can't wait for the prime time PSA about PC and Mac users tolerating each other, after all we all use computers. (Flying star, "the more you know")

    I used to use Macs exclusively; I'm now PC-exclusive. Still the same person. The "Windows/OS(whatever number)/Linux" wars are even worse; I can feel the Godwin's Law violations happening as I write.

    If anyone is wondering about the link that (mixedinternal) provided it has nothing to do with this comic. It is a story about him making fun of mac users. It was somewhat entertaining but fails to make any real points. Mostly it just goes on about what all mac users are like -- or more specifically how he/she believes they are all like. Since when did being a mac user of a pc user describe who you are as a person? I use a PC and yet I do art, animation and yes drink at Starbucks coffee. Either way it is pretty horrible the the argument over mac vs pc has turned into a personal attack on the people that use them.
