    Utterly marvelous reference. I was not only amused, I was delighted to see that movie given a nod to. It was...well it was almost like watching Soylent Green.

    You just weren't expecting it!

    @evohollywood: That was both informative and entertaining. I believe you made the right choice and applaud your efforts.

    @mmclennan:

    I'll fess up, I'm the one who changed his message so that he was calling himself an idiot. Do I think it was helping anything? No, absolutely not I did it purely for my own amusement. Was it petty? Absolutely, yes. Do I think it was hurting anyone? No, for two reasons.

    First, the internet is indeed a zone where mindless idiocy is to be expected...however I also feel it is a place where if you are acting like an idiot then you should be told as such. This is not a judgment free zone. Also, I don't feel a site should be held at the mercy of its users...unable to publicly chastise them for activity that we, the site owners, do not wish to see (not trying to come off pompous...we just want intelligent, funny, or meaningful conversation on our site).

    Second, BugMeNot is not a single user. BugMeNot.com, the domain to which that user's email is registered, is a service that allows users to register for sites without giving up their real e-mail address. So if you go to their website and search for www.crispygamer.com you will find the user name and password that allow you to post as that user.

    So even though the username BugMeNot has multiple posts, they are all likely from different people who are choosing to be anonymous trolls. I wouldn't go in and edit the content of normal users posts to say something that they did not intend. But I have no problem doing that to an anonymous troll.

    Thanks,

    Evan

    Hey @mmclennan, thanks for your feedback. I just thought I'd copy edit your post for grammar and readability, per Crispy style.

    "Well, first, I always assumed -- because someone has yet to tell me otherwise -- that putting the "@" symbol in front of a user's handle meant you were talking to them. Like, if I wrote:

    @DarkKnyght: cool name bro!

    I would be saying that to DarkKnyght. Given this assumption, writing "I agree with @randomPerson" seems incorrect.

    Second, even though @BugMeNot (It is a joke, get it? It's clever.) said some stupid things, isn't that allowed? You can disagree with him, or argue his point -- not that he made much of one -- but simply calling him an idiot seems only to continue the chain of idiocy, rather than help anyone. Plus -- isn't the Internet where you put things forth to be judged by people who know even less about the subject matter than you do?

    -- Mike out."

    Well, first is that I always assumed (because no one has yet to come down and tell me) that the @ symbol in front on a user's handle was to mean you were talking to them. like if I said:

    @DarkKnyght: cool name bro!

    I would be saying that to him. So saying something like "I agree with @randomPerson" seems incorrect given that assumption.
