Old Snake: Are you there, Captain?
Captain: What is it, Old Snake?
Old Snake: I have something to tell you about Metal Gear, Captain.
Captain: Can you tell me what it is, Old Snake?
Old Snake: Yes. There may be a situation here, I'm afraid.
Captain: Can you be more specific, Old Snake?
Old Snake:
[Fart.]
Captain: Did you just break wind, Old Snake?
Old Snake: I suppose I did, Captain.
Captain: THIS IS A SNEAKING MISSION, OLD SNAKE! ANY DISTURBANCE CAN REVEAL YOUR POSITION!
Kojima: Already disappointed in himself, in his game, and in the PS3.
Perfectionist/crazy person/nut job Hideo Kojima told Edge mag in a recent interview that not only does
MGS 4 come far short of his original vision for the game, he also mostly blames the PS3's hardware for this.
"I remember saying three years ago that we wanted to create something revolutionary, but in reality we couldn't really do that because of the CPU. We're using the Cell engine to its limit, actually. Please don't get me wrong, I'm not criticizing the PS3 machine, it's just that we weren't really aware of what the full-spec PS3 offered."
We're not lawyers or anything, Hideo, but it sort of sounds like you're blaming the PS3 for your game's shortcomings.
Bet Sony's thrilled that they went to the bother of creating those
MGS 4-branded, special edition PS3s to celebrate and honor your game.
