WoW: Wrath of the Lich King in Second Half of '08

Those of us actively playing World of Warcraft will know that with the
Season 4 of Arena around the corner, it would surely be another 5 or so months
before Blizzard releases the next expansion pack for their hugely successful
MMORPG, Wrath of the Lich King. Not only that, beta testing hasn't even
started yet for WotLK and everyone knows that Blizzard takes their beta
testing seriously. Very, VERY seriously.
So in light of that, it should come as no surprise that Vivendi has tagged Lich
King for a release some time in the second half of 2008. We are likely looking
at a holiday release, but even that sounds a bit iffy. If for whatever reason
Blizzard misses that window, then Q1 of 2009 is looking like a safe bet.
The information was revealed by the publisher yesterday, as part of their earnings
report.
